Here’s a new logo I developed for a bartering website being started up here in Orlando, called Trading Up. Good luck to Char from Trading Up, on starting her latest business venture!

Christy & Chris’s Wedding Album is HERE!

This large and in charge wedding album for local bride and groom Christy & Chris, is finally here! It made its’ long voyage from Venice Italy, where it was handmade from my design and Misty Miotto‘s lovely photography. The book is 65 pages, printed on all metallic pages (which is like HDTV for the printing world!), and is really really beautiful. Definitely a statement, and for sure an heirloom piece for Christy & Chris’s family for generations to come. Check out the “Heirloom Design” section of my website www.melodymatheny.com for more photos. High five!

A magical wedding photo

I just had to share this Disney wedding photo with everyone. Out of the many wedding photos I’ve edited for Misty Miotto Photography, so far, this is one of my favorites. It’s just magical. The way her veil and dress are flowing behind her, the way they’re looking at each other and the Cinderella carriage is waiting to whisk them away…maybe I’m just a romantic, but I think this photo is totally badass and I had to share my thoughts with the world on it. I hope the bride and groom love this photo as much as I do!!!

Being Pink! A Bridal Social

Kristin Hubbard from Our DJ Rocks is putting together a great new event, Being Pink: A Bridal Social! It’s an intimate social/light business event for local brides to find the perfect vendors for their wedding while sipping cocktails with their bridesmaids & mothers and getting to know other brides in the area. All the proceeds go to research for breast cancer. I had the privilege of designing the logo for the event :)

Our DJ Rocks tradeshow debut!

Kristin Hubbard’s wedding DJ business Our DJ Rocks made its tradeshow debut this past weekend at Perfect Wedding Guide’s bridal show in Melbourne, FL. Check out the shirts and sign she made with my logo on it! Sweet! Good luck with rocking people’s wedding socks, Kristin!

Congratulations to Misty Miotto!!

Congratulations to Misty Miotto, who won first place in an “Admired by Beckstead” photography competition! The theme was “RED”. And here are renowned photographer David Beckstead’s comments about the photo:
“Misty really created a great wide-angle shot here! With the focus being the red shoe, this shot fits perfectly with my concept. The shoe creates the start of the story and the viewer follows the steps and lines to get to the secondary subject: the bride. Love the complementary colors and brick! The shot has nice implied movement and I dig the composition! Great shot and great “Red”! ”

Latest Calligraphy happenings

Just finished this cool calligraphy job. A local man is putting together several family heirloom pieces that displays 5 generations of his family members. This one is for the women on one side of his family. We’re about to do one for the men too. He’s inspiring me to do my own, what a great idea! The framing and matting work was done by Giovanni and Jill at Let Us Frame It in College Park. They are wonderfully bright and energetic people to work with, I highly recommend them for any framing needs!
